Buncha is bringing back the milkman, with your favorite stores. Our social commerce platform connects neighborhoods directly with their favorite local merchants for weekly neighborhood deliveries. Neighbors on Buncha save together on the essentials they need from the stores they love by ordering together every week. Meanwhile, our merchants use Buncha to efficiently find new customers, turn existing ones into brand evangelists and make more money using resources they already have.

Buncha is one of the first and fastest-growing social commerce platforms in the United States. Weโ€™ve raised 4.2M from Techstars, Target, Starting Line, Unusual Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, and early employees, founders and executives from Nextdoor, Instacart, GoPuff and more. We are growing 10X YoY with plans to expand to a dozen + markets within the next 12 months. Our team of 24 is spread across offices in Minneapolis, MN, and New Delhi, India.

About This Role โšก

As VP of Operations you will work alongside our CEO and Head of Operations to build the future of social commerce and community based grocery delivery. We're looking for an outstanding individual with strong analytical, operational and managerial skills to lead and expand our ultra-fast growing business.

This high impact role will help us build a high-performing, scalable organization with high visibility into all teams at Buncha including Operations, Marketing, and Product. You will be creating strategies, leading the expansion, merchant, and operations teams, and scaling our business across geographies and merchants to provide the amazing customer experience that our customers are accustomed to.

You Will ๐Ÿ”จ

  • Identify, scope, and lead zip code and market expansion opportunities across existing and new geographies.
  • Own the driver on-boarding, training, retention, and payment strategies. Build data-driven tests to determine adequate supply and pricing strategies in each market.
  • Launch and expand merchant partnerships including negotiating deals, launching pilots, and expanding rollouts across multiple locations.
  • Work closely with our team and build a culture of excellence that is both highly demanding and highly supportive.
  • Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to track business performance; report findings to senior leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making.

  • Be comfortable supporting the CEO and working at a startup where things move quickly and are sometimes chaotic.
  • Have proven skills in strategic planning and business development and will set, report and track KPI's to insure the company is achieving goals and operating effectively.
  • Be a self-motivated individual who is able to think outside the box and you're willing to do a variety of tasks to help this company succeed.
  • Have excellent people skills and communicate effectively in both oral and written communication.
  • You have the ability to travel frequently when needed (HQ in Minneapolis).
